Red Door Resort

I would recommend the red door for All occasions. The staff the rooms. Everything is darn near perfect the lady up in the front desk. Sherry is absolutely excellent. Looking to going back up there in the summer so we can at least swim. Absolutely beautiful place

We just had our 2nd year at Red Door, we enjoyed it so much the first we, we knew were going back this year so we made our reservation. We even had a tiny request to stay in the same cabin we did the previous year. The day we arrived we were told there was a bad storm a few night prior to our arrival, and a tree smashed a car right in front of out cabin. We had the opportunity to stay at that cabin or move to a different cabin. We chose the other cabin to stay out of the way of the car being cleaned up and towed away. All i can say was this year was even better than we anticipated with them being so accommodating, friendly and extremely helpful! Some of the best customer service I have experienced. The pool and sauna were excellent additions this year!

We only used their winter ice fishing lake access roads and pressure ridge bridges to get our Ice Castle out on a good ice fishing spot. They are at the north end of Mille Lacs Lake and claim they plow 40-50 miles of lake road ways. The roads are HUGE and WIDE and go forever! There was a ton of vacant space to pick from and didn't have to break out the shovel or bring a plow to get a fishing spot ready.

Rented a cabin for an ice fishing trip. The place was clean and spacious. Despite check in being at 330 I received a text at 1030 saying my cabin was ready and I could check in at any time. Owners allowed a late check out without any issues or extra cost. Loved staying there

We had a fantastic stay at the Red Door Inn. The guided fishing tour was a highlight—we caught some big walleyes and John was an excellent guide. My boys had a blast fishing. He even cleaned the fish for us so we could enjoy it for dinner. The kids loved the new pool, and we spent hours running back and forth between the sauna and the lake. Great owners —they make it such a welcoming place. We’d definitely come back!

I was a vendor for a wedding that just took place there - I was the DJ. Chantel was amazing to work with, she is very knowledgeable. We had one little kick-up while I was there but between her and the other staff they fixed the issues and provided me with a back up in a very quick and professional manner. After issue they even came back to check and make sure all was working well. I would recommend this venue as a place for a wedding and would love to go back there.

My husband and I just stayed here for a week in one of the motel rooms. Our stay was awesome, the motel is a short walking distance to the boat slips, the room was clean and staff was always around if you needed anything. For a place that is right on the water the price is very affordable. We will definitely be back.

James and Chantell have always treated Myself, family and friends are extremely well always taken care of us very friendly communicative and willing to help wherever they can. Just last weekend I had trailer issues on the metal bridge over an ice heave near shore and they immediately got their crew together and did everything they could to help. They even attempted to cross the crack with their track loader and almost dropped it in the drink in attempt to help me fortunately we were able to get it out after many attempts and helped me fix my trailer at the same time. They wouldn’t accept payment and just simply Thanked me for my business. These are the type of people I love to do business with and we absolutely consider them our ‘go to’ resort for Mille Lacs lake! I highly advise them for others. Thanks team
